CalcVault: Secret Photo Vault Privacy Policy
This policy applies to DangNH Studio's CalcVault: Secret Photo Vault Android app (package com.dangnhstudio.calcvault). CalcVault is built on an offline-first architecture with AES-256-GCM encryption, ensuring your private photos, videos, and notes remain strictly on your physical device.
Where your photos, videos, and private data are stored
All photos, videos, albums, confidential notes, intruder logs, and security credentials in CalcVault are encrypted and stored strictly inside the app's private sandbox on your device (using offline SQLite/Room database and hardware-backed AES-256-GCM encryption via Android KeyStore). CalcVault operates with zero remote servers, zero cloud storage, and zero external analytics backends. Your media files and personal records never leave your physical device and are never uploaded or transmitted over the internet.
System Photo Picker & No broad storage permissions
CalcVault imports photos and videos exclusively through Android's native system Photo Picker (PickMultipleVisualMedia). CalcVault does not declare or request broad external storage access permissions (such as MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE). You retain total control over which specific media items you choose to import into the encrypted vault.
VICalcVault nhập hình ảnh và video hoàn toàn thông qua Bộ chọn ảnh hệ thống tiêu chuẩn của Android (PickMultipleVisualMedia). CalcVault tuyệt đối không yêu cầu hoặc sử dụng các quyền truy cập bộ nhớ diện rộng (như MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE hay READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE). Bạn nắm toàn quyền kiểm soát chính xác từng tệp muốn đưa vào kho lưu trữ mã hoá.
Camera permission (CAMERA) & Intruder Selfie
CalcVault requests camera access exclusively for the optional 'Intruder Selfie' security feature. When enabled by you, the front-facing camera captures a silent snapshot only after 3 consecutive incorrect PIN attempts at the calculator keypad. These break-in logs are encrypted and saved solely in your on-device vault, allowing you to review who attempted unauthorized access. CalcVault never accesses the camera covertly or shares camera captures with any third party.
Decoy Vault & Security Credentials
Your master PIN and optional decoy PIN are hashed locally using salted cryptographic SHA-256 digests. Neither your plaintext PINs nor any security question answers are ever stored in readable form. The secondary Decoy PIN unlocks an isolated, fake vault designed to protect your privacy under duress or compulsion.
Panic gestures & Motion sensors
CalcVault utilizes your device's built-in accelerometer and proximity sensors solely for local panic locking gestures (Flip face-down or Shake to lock). When triggered, CalcVault immediately locks your vault and returns to a clean standard calculator interface. Motion sensor data is evaluated instantaneously in volatile memory and is never logged, recorded, or transmitted.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
CalcVault displays non-intrusive adaptive banner ads and optional rewarded video ads (to unlock a temporary 24-hour Pro Pass). Advertisements are strictly NEVER displayed inside the full-screen photo viewer, video player, or note editor. SDK audio is permanently muted. Google AdMob may collect device identifiers (AAID) and app interaction telemetry subject to Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can manage ad consent and preferences at any time in the app settings.

Data retention, export, and complete deletion
You have complete ownership of your files. You can export (unhide) photos and videos back to your public device gallery at any time with zero loss in quality. Uninstalling CalcVault completely and permanently purges all encrypted vault items, secret notes, and database records from your device.
